Synopsis

This course predominantly provides observational learning regarding the nature of authentic professional experience in a sport and exercise context. The course also provides the opportunity to observe practical applications of sport and exercise skills. The course outlines opportunities to value add to professional skills developed during the course and as a practitioner. The importance of evidence based research and the ability to draw together knowledge and skills from different discipline areas is outlined. Effective time management skills and work related documentation processes to ensure successful completion of the course are provided during the program of study.

Professional Placement 1 involves a mandatory 4-hour practicum preparation module on campus for all students. Students within 150km radius of Ipswich Campus are required to attend in person while all others outside the 150km radius of Ipswich Campus will be attending via zoom.
